Panasonic Unveils DMC-GF1 New Micro Four Thirds Camera

*From Digital Camera Warehouse*

Panasonic has unveiled the latest in its series of Micro Four Thirds system interchangeable lens digital cameras, the world’s smallest and lightest in its class, the Lumix DMC-GF1. Featuring a 12.1 Megapixel 4/3 Live MOS sensor, 3.0″ LCD screen, and 720p HD movies in both AVCHD Lite and MotionJPEG format, all in a compact design, the GF1 gives you D-SLR image quality in a camera that you can fit in a coat pocket or handbag.

The GF1 will be available in two kit lens options: 14-45mm f/3.5-5.6 standard zoom lens; or 20mm f/1.7 pancake lens. Also available will be a Leica 45mm f/2.8 Macro lens. And of course a whole host of lenses can be used via various mount adapters that are sold separately.
